Two men arrested in missing Sameena Imam murder probe

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder by police investigating the disappearance of a woman on Christmas Eve.

Sameena Imam, 34, from Cardiff, was last seen outside the wholesaler's Costco in Coventry where she worked at about 16:00 GMT on 24 December.

West Midlands Police said a man, 38, from Leicester and a man, 40, from Coventry were being questioned.

Officers have been searching a property in Hughenden Drive, Leicester.

Det Supt Mark Payne, who is leading the investigation, said police were concerned for Ms Imam's welfare.

"Sameena has many friends and colleagues, who have been incredibly supportive," he said.

"We continue to work closely with her family as this investigation progresses."

Ms Imam lived in Cardiff and had work and family connections in London, South Yorkshire and the West Midlands.
