Four men have gone on trial accused of the attempted revenge killing of three people whose car was rammed off the road in Newport.

Lewis Bridge, Brogan Hooper, Gary Rabjohns and Ryan Battersby each deny three charges of conspiracy to murder.

Newport Crown Court heard the men used a 4x4 vehicle to ram their victims' car and then shot at the three people inside on 3 September last year.

It is alleged the incident on Chepstow Road was revenge for a drugs robbery.

Roger Griffiths, prosecuting, said: "The deliberate ramming and discharge of two rounds demonstrates a clear intention to kill the occupants in the car."

The case continues.
