Operation Pallial: Care homes abuse suspect re-arrested
A 71-year-old man questioned earlier this year by detectives investigating allegations of historic child abuse in north Wales has been re-arrested.
The man was originally arrested at Ipswich, Suffolk, in April on suspicion of a number of serious sexual assaults.
He was released on bail until July but was re-arrested in Suffolk earlier.
The man was the first to be made by officers working on Operation Pallial, into allegations of abuse at care homes in north Wales.
Detectives are looking into 140 allegations relating to 18 care homes between 1963 and 1992.
Three other men have since been arrested and bailed as part of the operation.
