A 28-year-old man accused of killing his girlfriend, whose body was found on Christmas Day, has appeared in court.

David O'Sullivan was charged last week with murdering 37-year-old Charmaine MacMuiris after the mother-of-three was found with stab wounds at his address in Maes Yr Ysgol, Carmarthen.

He appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Monday for a preliminary hearing.

Mr O'Sullivan is due to appear at Swansea Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on 14 March.

The defendant only spoke to confirm his identity before being remanded in custody.
