M4 reopens after lorry overturns at junction 47 near Swansea

The M4 has reopened after a lorry overturned and spilled boxes of ready meals across the road near Swansea.

Emergency services were at the scene between the eastbound exit and the entry slip road at junction 47 for Penllergaer and Swansea west services.

No injuries were reported and police directed traffic.

The carriageway is closed while recovery work was carried out, and a broken down car was also removed. The motorway reopened at around 14:00 GMT.

Congestion was being reported back to junction 48 for Llanelli and Hendy before the motorway reopened.
