Flats evacuated after blaze in Butetown, Cardiff


A block of flats in Butetown, Cardiff, was evacuated after a fire on Friday.

Firefighters were called to the three-storey building in South Loudoun Place at 07:37 BST.

The blaze had spread throughout a top floor flat and into the roof space. Fifteen people were led to safety.

No-one was reported injured.

Five crews from South Wales Fire and Rescue were sent to the scene and it was brought under control before 09:00 BST.
