£365m Pen-y-Cymoedd wind farm divides opinion

Help

The UK government has given the go-ahead for the construction of the most powerful wind farm in England and Wales.

It will be built between Neath and Aberdare.

The 76 turbines will generate enough power for 200,000 homes and create or retain 300 jobs its developers say.

However, campaigners say this is at huge cost to the environment and the visual intrusion on the landscape that will be seen for miles around.

Abigail Neal reports from Glyncorrwg.
