Compensation for Kate Pierce after her meningitis misdiagnosed

It has taken six years, but the family of Kate Pierce, from Wrexham, is a step closer to receiving compensation for the misdiagnosis which left her severely brain damaged.

Her meningitis was passed off by a junior doctor as tonsillitis and a judge has approved the family's negligence case against Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board.
