Osprey chick at Glaslyn may be earliest to hatch

The first osprey chick of the year has hatched at Glaslyn, near Tremadog in Gwynedd - and it could be a record breaker.

It is seven years since ospreys returned to Wales to breed, half a century after they became extinct in the UK.

The Glaslyn chick is thought to be the earliest hatching of an osprey on record in Britain.

Roger Pinney reports.
