Blaze damages holiday cottages in Powys

Fire crews are still at the scene of a fire at a hotel and holiday cottage complex in Powys.

Mid and West Wales Fire Service said they were called to the blaze at Glangwrwyney Court at Crickhowell at 2055 GMT on Saturday.

The fire was in a range of two-storey cottages behind the hotel. A fire service spokesperson said the roof was collapsing in on the building.

The fire is currently under investigation. Nobody was hurt.

Six fire engines from Abergavenny, Crickhowell, Talgarth, Brecon, and Hay on Wye and a water bowser from Builth Wells were called to the blaze.

Crews were still at the scene at 1000 GMT on Sunday.
