Flintshire man killed in Chester traffic incident

A Flintshire man has died following an incident on the A55 near Chester involving a BMW car and a pedestrian.

Cheshire Police said a man in his 20s, believed to be from the Connah's Quay area, was killed near the Vicars Cross roundabout about 0615 GMT on Friday.

The driver of the car, a 45-year-old man from Chester, was uninjured.

Police have appealed for witnesses. Morning rush-hour traffic was diverted for several hours following the incident.
