Man found at Bangor park died from hypothermia

A man who was found in a park in Bangor, Gwynedd died from hypothermia, a post-mortem examination has revealed.

An inquest has been adjourned into the death of Patrick John Cleary, 48, from Llanllyfni, who was found in Bible Gardens near the Cathedral on Wednesday.

Police said they were not looking for anybody else over the death.

He was pronounced dead at hospital where he was taken after a member of the public alerted emergency services.

Temperatures in Bangor were near or below freezing for a number of days before Mr Cleary's death, and there was a heavy snowfall on Wednesday.
