Worker dies after lorry collision at Bridgend depot

A 21-year-old man has died after a collision with a skip lorry at a Bridgend recycling depot.

The man, who was working at the Nolan depot at the Hobbs Quarry site on Stormy Down on Thursday, suffered fatal injuries.

The incident happened at 1243 GMT and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

South Wales Police are investigating and the Health and Safety Executive and the coroner have been informed.

The man has not yet been formally identified but police say he was from the Nantymoel area.
