Two men 'critical' after explosion at house
Two men are in a "critical" condition in hospital following an explosion at a house in Caerphilly, say police.
The men, 19 and 22, suffered serious burns in the incident and were taken to University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff before being transferred to the burns unit at Morriston Hospital in Swansea.
The incident happened in Heol Cae Maen, at 2230 BST on Wednesday.
Police and South Wales Fire and Rescue are investigating.
It is understood the windows of the house were blown out by the force of the explosion.
A 56-year-old woman in the house at the time of the explosion was also taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
A Gwent Police spokesman said: "Two males, aged 22 and 19, were found seriously injured at the scene.
Both men are described as critical.
"Police are investigating along with fire service to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident."
