North Wales fire teams tackle factory blaze

More than 30 firefighters have spent the night fighting a blaze at factory on an industrial estate on the edge of Conwy county borough.

Emergency teams were called to the Tir Llwyd estate in Kinmel Bay, near Rhyl, at 23.32 BST on Thursday.

Five engines and an aerial platform were sent to tackle the fire, which was still well alight two hours later.

The fire, at a Conwy Cardboard Services building, was finally brought under control by around 04.00 on Friday.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said teams were continuing to dampen down the fire at what is believed to be a recycling plant.

As yet, no cause for the fire has been identified.
