Body found on Perthshire riverbank is missing man

The body of a man found on a riverbank in Perthshire has been confirmed as missing 25-year-old Kieran Bruce.

Mr Bruce, who lived in Perth, was last seen at the city's Queen's Bridge on 18 March, sparking a major search operation.

Mr Bruce's body was discovered near Walnut Grove, West Kinfauns, three days later.

His family said that they were understandably upset by their loss and that he would be greatly missed.

The Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (Pirc) has been instructed to investigate the police response before Mr Bruce's disappearance.
