Elderly pedestrian dies in hospital following Land Rover crash

An 80-year-old pedestrian has died in hospital five days after being struck by a Land Rover on a Perthshire road.

Mary Lawson, of Gannochy, sustained serious injuries following the collision on the A94 road near Gannochy.

She was taken to Dundee's Ninewells Hospital following the incident, which happened at about 12:40 on 3 January.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed that the pensioner died in hospital from her injuries on Sunday.
