A man has been detained by police after the bodies of a man and woman were found at a Dundee flat.

The bodies were discovered at a tenement in Rosefield Street, in the city's west end, at about 21:00 on Sunday.

Police Scotland said the deaths were now being treated as suspicious.

The property has been sealed off by police while officers investigate. They are also examining CCTV images and carrying out house-to-house inquiries.

Det Insp Brian Geddes, who is leading the investigation, said, "I would be keen to hear from anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in the Rosefield Street area, in the days between Thursday 8 December and Sunday 11 December."
