Drivers warned after 120 cows escape from farm

More than half of a herd of 120 cows which escaped from an Angus farm are still missing, according to police.

Officers warned motorists to drive with caution on rural roads between Kirriemuir and Forfar after the cattle went missing on Thursday evening.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said about half of the cattle were rounded up overnight with the assistance of local farmers.

A search for the remaining missing cows is continuing.
