Man in court accused of brandishing gun in Dundee

A man is to stand trial accused of brandishing a handgun at a group of people, before allegedly forcing the barrel of the weapon into another man's mouth.

Peter McPhee is then alleged to have driven a van at a man and a pregnant woman, hitting the man.

He is then alleged to have driven the van at two parked caravans in Dundee's Luna Place on 2 October.

The 30-year-old is also said to have brandished a gun during the incident.

Mr McPhee is also accused of dangerous driving on various roads in Tayside.

Mr McPhee, of Stirling made no plea or declaration to the charges at Dundee Sheriff Court.

Sheriff James Tierney fully committed Mr McPhee for trial and released him on bail.
