Men attacked by teenage gang in city park
Police are appealing for information after a hooded gang of teenagers attacked two men in a Dundee park.
The men, aged 33 and 28, were assaulted by seven teenagers in Hilltown Park, Caldrum Street at about 20:30 on Monday.
The seven suspects were described as being about 14 to 17-years-old, wearing hooded tops and jogging bottoms.
Police said the teenagers were seen in Murraygate earlier in the evening and followed the men to the park.
Sgt Alex Munro said: "This was an unprovoked attack and the violent group behaviour demonstrated in this assault could have resulted in serious consequences for the victims.
"Fortunately both men sustained only minor injuries.
"Police Scotland does not tolerate violence of any kind and we would reassure the public that we are investigating all lines of enquiry in relation to this matter."
