Teenager in court over gun attack claim

A teenager who falsely told police he had been the victim of an attack by a man with a gun will be sentenced in October.

Dundee Sheriff Court was told that Liam Gray claimed the man had pointed the weapon at him while "uttering threats."

The 19-year-old admitted a charge of wasting police time in Dundee's Forth Crescent on 24 January.

Sheriff Tom Hughes deferred Gray's sentence for social work background reports.
