Woman accused of £30,000 benefit fraud

A Dundee woman is to appear in court accused of fraudulently claiming almost £30,000 in benefits.

Elizabeth Moir, 52, is accused of fraudulently obtaining tax credits to the value of £29,564 over the course of more than five years.

Prosecutors allege she claimed to be a single parent between July 2008 and August 2013, but was living with her husband.

Sheriff Lorna Drummond QC continued the case without plea until next month.
