Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with an attack on an 83-year-old man in a Tesco store in Dundee.

The pensioner was left with a facial injury after the incident in the Strathmartine Road store at about 15:10 on Friday 20 November.

The attacker was described as being between 45 and 50 years old, about 5ft 10in tall, of slim build.

He was wearing a black, peaked baseball cap and a black fleece jacket.

He was also wearing light blue jeans and brown shoes.

Det Con Beverley Symon, of Police Scotland, said: "This was a serious incident resulting in a male sustaining a facial injury.

"Assaults of this nature can have a significant impact on the life of the victim, and I would appeal to anyone who recognises the man in the image, or anyone who has any knowledge of this incident, to come forward and contact the police."
