Man killed in A9 lorry collision at Blair Atholl

A man has died following a collision between a car and a lorry on the A9 at Blair Atholl in Perthshire.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the lorry involved in the crash was carrying 3,000 gallons of whisky. The lorry driver was uninjured.

It is understood the accident happened on the southbound carriageway at about 02:30.

The A9 was closed for several hours following the accident but has now been reopened.
