Call centre firm creates 100 jobs at new Arbroath hub
An Angus call centre firm is to create 100 new jobs after moving to a new base in Arbroath.
Journeycall is opening a new operations centre at the Kirkton industrial estate, relocating its existing staff from Brechin and Laurencekirk.
The company estimates the move will deliver £30m to the local economy over 10 years.
The firm's workforce, currently about 200, is set to rise to 300 by the summer of 2015.
Journeycall, which is owned by ESP Systex, specialises in contact centre services for the smartcard and public transport industries in the UK, including London's Oyster Card.
Theresa Wishart, the company's operations director, said current employees would start moving to the new site in early November.
She said: "Relocating to larger premises with almost 50% more employees will enable Journeycall to continue with our long-term plans by further increasing our range of specialist services to existing clients while also targeting new business."
