Stracathro Hospital ward reopens after outbreak of vomiting bug

The Mulberry Unit at Stracathro Hospital has reopened to new admissions after being closed due to an outbreak of norovirus.

NHS Tayside closed the ward on Monday as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus.

Several people suffered sickness and diarrhoea which was caused by the winter vomiting bug.

A ward at Ninewells Hospital was also closed on Monday and reopened on Wednesday.
