Ward at Ninewells Hospital reopens after outbreak of vomiting bug

A ward at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee which was closed to new admissions following an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug has reopened.

Several patients on ward 19 suffered vomiting and diarrhoea which was caused by norovirus.

A unit at Stracathro Hospital in Brechin was also closed to new admissions on Monday.

People feeling unwell have been asked not to visit patients until they are free of all symptoms.
