Police probe after woman found in Dundee street dies
Police launched an investigation after the death of a woman found lying in a Dundee street.
The alarm was raised at 22:30 on Wednesday after the woman, believed to be in her 40s, was discovered lying on Court Street, near its junction with Sandeman Street.
She was taken to Ninewells Hospital by an ambulance crew, but later died.
The sudden death is not being treated as suspicious, but officers are appealing for witnesses.
Police particularly want to speak to a boy aged 12 to 14 years, who was in the street at the time the woman was found, along with a man was present in a silver van.
Officers want to speak to anyone who saw the woman, who was wearing a black top and trousers and a blue baseball cap.
A full forensic investigation of the scene was carried out and police are continuing their inquiries.
