Police appeal after Stirling indecent assault

A woman was indecently assaulted on a main road in Stirling early on Sunday morning, police have said.

The attack happened as the woman was walking along Causewayhead Road at about 0600 GMT.

Central Scotland Police said the male attacker was about 40 years old, of slim build, 5ft 9in tall, with short dark hair and wearing dark clothing.

They have appealed to anyone with information about the assault to contact them.

A police spokeswoman said: "We are keen to trace anybody who was in the area around this time.

"We are also keen to speak to two males passing in a yellow pick-up type vehicle and a man wearing a parka, walking from the Stirling direction towards the Esso Petrol Station."

"It is thought this man may have been loitering in the area before the incident."
