Drugs seized in raids in central Scotland

Drugs with an estimated street value of £165,000 have been seized in central Scotland, police have said.

Officers discovered cannabis, amphetamine and cocaine in a series of raids in Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire on Friday.

More than £5,000 in cash was also recovered during the operation.

Two men, aged 27 and 52, were arrested in connection with the finds and will appear in court later.

Central Scotland Police said they had arrested the 27-year-old man in Auld Brig Road, Alloa, after discovering more than 9kg of cannabis resin and £1,000 in cash.

The 52-year-old man was arrested in Westerton, Cowie, following the seizure of 6kg of cannabis resin and £4,100 in cash.

Amphetamine and cocaine were also recovered from a house in Main Street, Slamannan.

The 27-year-old man is expected to appear at Alloa Sheriff Court and the 52-year-old man at Stirling Sheriff Court.
