Probe into Plean primary school blaze

Police are investigating a major fire at a primary school near Stirling.

Forty firefighters were brought in to tackle the blaze which broke out at East Plean Primary School in Main Street, Plean, shortly after 2000 GMT on Saturday.

Nine engines and two high-reach aerial appliances were used to fight the fire.

Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service said it was brought under control shortly after 0530 GMT on Sunday.

The emergency services have not yet released details of the damage caused by the blaze.

No-one was injured in the incident.
