Thieves break into Girl Guide shop
Police in Dundee are appealing for witnesses after the Guide Shop in the city's Cowgate was broken into.
Police said the incident happened sometime between 1310 BST on Saturday 31 July and 0935 BST on Monday 2 August.
The thieves made off with a quantity of cash that had been raised through badge sales, raffles, lottery money and the till float.
A police spokeswoman said about £2,000 worth of damage had also been caused.
A spokeswoman for the shop said: "They broke a window no more than a foot wide and somehow managed to get in, they must have been very skinny.
"Once inside they caused a lot of damage looking for money - they've broken the window, a door in to the back shop and also cabinets where they forced the drawers open to get to the money.
"There was also cash under the till and in a tin on top.
"All our money goes to Girl Guides in Scotland, it's the girls who suffer.
"We'll need to fix the place and bolster security."
