Three in court after 'mass gathering' in Sanquhar


Three men have appeared in court following what was described by police as "a mass gathering" in Sanquhar.

A crowd congregated in the town on Tuesday night during the arrest of a 63-year-old man.

Dylan McLean, 21, of Kirkconnel, Jordan McLean, 22, and Liam Wakenshaw, 26, both of Sanquhar, all denied behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.

At Dumfries Sheriff Court, trial was set for March with all three allowed bail with special conditions.
