Newton Stewart livestock thieves steal bullocks

A large number of lambs and bullocks have been stolen from a field on a farm in Dumfries and Galloway.

The total value of the animals taken from Barrachan near Newton Stewart has been estimated at more then £3,500.

Dozens of texel lambs and six bullocks were taken some time between Thursday and Monday.

Police said it was the second such incident in the space of a week and have asked the public to report any suspicious activity.
