Dumfries bypass crash man escapes serious injury

A driver has escaped serious injury after his car went down an embankment on Dumfries bypass in a crash also involving a lorry and a road sweeper.

The three-vehicle accident happened at about 07:15 on the A75 between the Lockerbie and Heathhall roundabouts.

The driver of the car that went down the banking was taken to Dumfries Infirmary with minor injuries.

Nobody else was injured and the road was reopened by about 10:25.
