Man rescued from Eyemouth harbour after falling from boat

A man was rescued from Eyemouth harbour in Berwickshire after falling overboard from a fishing vessel.

The Eyemouth inshore lifeboat and its volunteer crew were called out shortly before 23:00.

The man was unharmed. Coastguards and the local inshore lifeboat crew carried out a further search because it was thought there may be a second casualty.

They were stood down after all the crew of a North Shields-based trawler were accounted for.
