Woman badly hurt in A7 crash near Stow

A woman has suffered a serious leg injury in a crash between a car and a lorry on the A7 in the Scottish Borders.

The incident happened at about 07:30, five miles north of Stow.

Police said the road was not closed but there was oil spilled onto the road surface as a result of the collision.

The female driver of the Ford Focus car involved was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment. The road was cleared by about 09:30.
