Two men face Galashiels attempted murder charges

Two men have appeared in private at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on a charge of attempted murder.

Carl Miller, 18, and Michael Hull, 40, are accused of attacking Rory Morrison with a knife at a block of flats in Talisman Avenue, Galashiels, on Monday.

Mr Morrison, 28, was taken to the Borders General Hospital for treatment.

Mr Miller, of no fixed abode, and Mr Hull, of Carlisle, made no plea or declaration and their cases were continued.

They were both remanded in custody by Sheriff Peter Paterson.
