A man who went missing in the Scottish Borders, sparking a major search operation, has been found a week after he was last seen.

William Notley was found in a "rural area" near his home town of Jedburgh.

He had been reported missing after leaving his home in Bongate Gardens on 8 February.

A police helicopter, mountain rescue, dog units and the Borders Water Rescue Team helped in the search. He has been taken to hospital for checks.
