Third man in court over Kelso store robbery

A third man has appeared in court in connection with a Kelso shop robbery.

Two women were allegedly assaulted with an electrical stunning device during the incident at the Original Factory Shop in October.

Anthony Kimber, 42, from Horley in Surrey, appeared in private at Jedburgh Sheriff Court when he faced three counts of assault and robbery as well as possession of a prohibited weapon.

He made no plea or declaration and was fully committed for trial.

He was remanded in custody by Sheriff Peter Paterson.

Two other men James Irvine, 53, and 36-year-old Steven Modeste, both from Newtown St Boswells, have previously appeared in court on similar charges.
