Woman, 84, dies in hospital after Selkirk lorry crash


A pensioner has died in hospital more than a week after she was struck by a lorry in Selkirk.

Marion Fair, 84, from Selkirk, was trapped beneath the vehicle following the incident in the town's Market Place on 15 December.

She was initially taken to Borders General Hospital before she was flown to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The pensioner died on Christmas day.

Police Scotland have urged anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward and speak to officers.
