Dumfries man Ian Thomson jailed for raping six women
A sex attacker who raped six former partners has been jailed for 13 years and six months.
Ian Thomson, 35, was convicted in May this year of committing the offences in Dumfriesshire over a nine-year period.
Judge John Beckett QC also imposed an order for lifelong restriction on the farm worker.
A jury heard one victim recall how he could be "nicey-nicey" before transforming into "the most evil person" she had known.
The judge told the rapist at the High Court in Glasgow that he had shown "no insight or remorse" into what he had done.
He added: "You were able to identify and form relationships with women who were vulnerable in one way or another."
Thomson showed no emotion as he was led handcuffed to the cells.
A trial previously heard how Thomson committed the offences between 2000 and 2009.
He was caught by the efforts of Police Scotland's Domestic Abuse Task Force.
As well as his jail term, Thomson was placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
