Melrose pub owner denies sex assault charges

A pub owner from the Scottish Borders has been accused of sexually assaulting five women.

Keith McDonald, 48, is alleged to have committed the offences over a 12-year period at the Ship Inn in Melrose.

He is also accused of making sexual remarks towards staff and exposing himself on various occasions between August 2001 and May 2011.

Mr McDonald, of Melrose, denied the charges at Selkirk Sheriff Court. A trial date was set for 16 December.
