Pensioner 'critical' after Annan crash

A 70-year-old man is in a "critical but stable" condition in hospital following a crash on the outskirts of Annan.

The two-vehicle collision involved a Honda Jazz and a Land Rover Discovery on the B724 at about 12:50 on Monday.

The Honda driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to Dumfries Infirmary for treatment.

The 45-year-old man driving the Land Rover sustained minor injuries and his 46-year-old male passenger was unhurt in the accident.
