Stranraer police seek assault witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man and a woman were assaulted in two "disturbances" in Stranraer.

The first incident took place at about 11:15 on Thursday at Glebe Street when a 22-year-old woman was attacked.

A few minutes later, a second incident took place at Ashwood Drive in which a 27-year-old man suffered serious head injuries.

Police want to trace a "heavy set" man in a black T-shirt and a man in a dark jacket who was wearing glasses.

They are also keen to trace the driver of a silver or grey car and a light blue car that were in the area.
