Police probe £20,000 digger theft

Police in southern Scotland are investigating the theft of a CAT digger with a value of about £20,000.

The vehicle was stolen from the Farrans site at Burnbrae, just outside the village of Milton.

A Police Scotland spokesman said the digger would have required a low loader trailer and lorry to remove it from the site.

The theft is understood to have taken place some time between 14:00 on Thursday and 10:00 on Friday.
