Driver hurt after car lands on roof on Ae Water to Loch Ettrick Road

A driver is in hospital with serious injuries after her car overturned and landed on its roof on a small rural road in Dumfries and Galloway.

The 45-year-old woman is being treated at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for multiple injuries. Her condition was serious but stable.

The police said an investigation into the crash was under way.

The incident happened on the Ae Water to Loch Ettrick Road at 08:10 on Christmas Eve.
