One of the main routes through Dumfries and Galloway has reopened after being closed near Twynholm due to flooding.

Diversions were put in place on the A75 to take motorists around the closure.

Police said many other roads were becoming flooded due to water running off adjacent fields and verges.

Drivers were asked to take such conditions into account and switch lights on when visibility was poor.
