Community councillors have broadly welcomed draft plans for the regeneration of a Borders village.
Major housing and business developments are planned for Newtown St Boswells and Scottish Borders Council is keen to ensure wider benefits for the area.
Preliminary plans by urban design specialists are now available to be viewed by residents.
George Luke, who chairs the community council, said it was "delighted" to see the plan and encouraged public comment.
Plans to move the auction mart in the village were approved by SBC a number of years ago.
Last year, a housing development which could more than double the population of Newtown St Boswells was also agreed.
The authority said it wanted to see such schemes contribute to regenerating the village as a whole.
Head of planning Brian Frater said formal consultation on the plans would open in the spring but encouraged the public to makes its views known now.
